Schedule:
- Night shifts: 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Every other weekend required
Requirements:
- Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year recent MS Oncology or related experience
- BCLS certification required
- Chemo certification preferred
- Ability to pass Relias EKG exam (Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required)
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and auto stem cell transplants
- Willingness to float throughout the Oncology department (assigned where the need is greatest per shift)
- First-time travelers welcome
- Navy blue scrubs required
- EPIC charting experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a patient ratio of 4:1, providing attentive, high-quality care to an average daily census of 30 patients across 32 beds
- Administer chemotherapy, manage central lines, and participate in auto stem cell transplant care
- Monitor, document, and interpret cardiac rhythms, intervening appropriately for dysrhythmias
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care in a Level I Trauma Center
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and post-discharge care
- Float as needed throughout the Oncology department to support team coverage
