Schedule:
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital acute care Oncology experience
- Chemo and biotherapy certificate (preferrednot required)
- Step-down experience a plus
- Compassion for oncology and chronic patient populations
- Adaptable, quick learner with strong collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to acute hematology and oncology patients
- Administer medications, blood, and electrolyte replacements
- Assist with procedures, including lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, and thoracentesis (with and without conscious sedation)
- Adhere to strict safety protocols when handling hazardous drugs; education on safe handling provided
- Collaborate closely within a predominantly primary nursing model
- Support team members to ensure holistic, high-quality care
