What Youll Bring:
- Current RN license in good standing
- Proven experience in medical-surgical oncology settings
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and central line management
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- BLS certification (required); OCN certification (preferred)
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced acute care environment
What Youll Do:
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to oncology patients, including medication administration and side effect management
- Monitor patient status, recognize early signs of complications, and intervene appropriately
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, therapists, and support staff
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, and expectations
- Document thoroughly within the electronic medical record
- Support patient and family emotional needs through challenging diagnoses and treatments
