Key Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted RN licensure
- Prior experience working with oncology or medical-surgical patient populations
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking abilities
- BLS certification (required); Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) a plus
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to best patient outcomes
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized, comprehensive oncology care to patients throughout their treatment journey
- Administer chemotherapy and other therapies while monitoring for side effects and efficacy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teamsincluding physicians, case managers, and social workersto create and execute patient care plans
- Educate patients and families about treatments, side effects, and support resources
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with established protocols
- Adhere to infection control standards and safety practices throughout all patient interactions
