As an RN specializing in Medical-Surgical Oncology, you will work alongside a talented, experienced team dedicated to supporting high-acuity hematology patients. The unit features state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technologies, ensuring you stay at the forefront of modern cancer care.
Schedule:
- 7 p.m. 7 a.m.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license and BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 years recent acute hospital oncology experience
- Preferred: Chemo and biotherapy certification; step-down experience
- Strong compassion for oncology patients and an adaptable, collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive, nurse-driven care to oncology patients (average ratio 3-4:1)
- Collaborate in a team-focused environment with experienced charge RNs and dedicated CNAs
- Support procedures such as lumbar puncture, bone marrow biopsy (with or without sedation), thoracentesis, and administration of blood and electrolyte replacements
- Safely handle hazardous medications following unit guidelines
