This contract opportunity is ideal for RNs experienced in delivering high-quality patient care with a special focus on oncology. Schedule:
- Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Strong med/surg experience required
- Oncology experience highly preferred
- Chemo certification is a plus
- ACLS certification preferred
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
- Excellent communication and positive attitude
- Team-first mentality with willingness to support new staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, expert nursing care to oncology and general med/surg patients (24-bed unit, typical 1:5 nurse-patient ratio)
- Administer chemotherapy (chemo-certified nurses only) and perform standard med/surg procedures
- Monitor patients, including remote telemetry, with vital sign protocols (q8h for standard, q4h for tele patients)
- Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary team using innovative iPhone nursing systems for instant communication
- Support and mentor newly onboarding nurses, contributing to an inclusive and positive work environment
