Job Description

A registered nurse is needed for a contract opportunity in Oconto, WI, specializing in medical-surgical care on a telemetry unit. This role requires at least 2 years of nursing experience with competence in telemetry monitoring. The position is ideal for nurses seeking a focused clinical setting with the support of a multidisciplinary team and modern technology.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current RN license with at least 2 years of professional nursing experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
  • Telemetry competency essential
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
  • Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry surveillance
  • Collaborate closely with charge nurses, LPNs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and tele techs
  • Utilize EPIC, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis systems for documentation and medication administration
  • Follow strict infection control protocols and utilize adequate PPE

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day and night shifts available
  • Patient ratios: RN 1:4-5 (days), 1:5-6 (nights); Tech support present
