A Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical expertise is needed immediately at a healthcare facility in Newport, TN. This contract position offers the opportunity to work a day shift in a structured hospital environment serving a 34-bed unit. Candidates must demonstrate experience in medical-surgical nursing and be prepared to float within the unit as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid TN RN license
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with telemetry patients
- Ability to maintain patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients
- Monitor telemetry and respond to patient needs promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital policies, including the use of designated royal blue scrubs
- Participate in block scheduling and communicate scheduling needs with management
- Comply with documentation requirements and submit necessary credentials upon application
Schedule:
- Days: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
