This 13-week travel position places you squarely in a setting that fosters clinical excellence and personal adventure. Collaborate with a dedicated team under seasoned leadership, learn from enduring best practices, and expand your skillset managing diverse, high-acuity cardiac and renal patients. Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM 7:00 PM)
- 36 hours/week guaranteed (option for 48 hours)
- Bi-weekly orientation start on 6/1
- Three weekends every six weeks; every other holiday
- Floating between nearby campuses (within 11 miles) as needed, with advance notice
Qualifications:
- Active compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent Cardiac/Tele experience
- At least one prior travel assignment
- Trauma level II experience
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Recent EPIC charting proficiency (checkoff class required)
- Strong assessment, multitasking, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to independently interpret EKGs, manage drips, and handle cardiac/renal emergencies
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert care to a high-acuity cardiac telemetry/medical-surgical population
- Perform advanced nursing tasks: EKG interpretation, titration/monitoring of drips, initiation of complex therapies, chest tube/drain management, and more
- Float to sister campus locations as assigned within scope
- Collaborate with the units established, supportive team
- Participate in teaching, precepting students and new hires
