Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts
  • Floating required to facilities within the assigned region, per unit needs

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Strong assessment and clinical skills with experience in:
    • Stroke care and NIH assessments
    • Chest tube management, cardiac rhythm interpretation
    • NGT placement, trach care, PIV starts
    • Infusion/medication drips, blood product administration
  • Experience with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Philips monitors, Omnicell

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care to a diverse Med/Surg-Tele population (stroke, cardiac, GI, COPD, and more)
  • Manage a patient assignment of 1:5-6 (may increase based on surge staffing)
  • Perform NIH stroke assessments and complex medication administration
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including CNAs, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and support staff
  • Float to various facilities within the region as needed
