Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts
- Floating required to facilities within the assigned region, per unit needs
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong assessment and clinical skills with experience in:
- Stroke care and NIH assessments
- Chest tube management, cardiac rhythm interpretation
- NGT placement, trach care, PIV starts
- Infusion/medication drips, blood product administration
- Experience with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Philips monitors, Omnicell
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care to a diverse Med/Surg-Tele population (stroke, cardiac, GI, COPD, and more)
- Manage a patient assignment of 1:5-6 (may increase based on surge staffing)
- Perform NIH stroke assessments and complex medication administration
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including CNAs, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and support staff
- Float to various facilities within the region as needed
