Utilizing advanced technology, such as remote telemetry, Sara Steady, Wound Vac, and virtual sitter equipment, this setting offers the opportunity to provide top-tier care while working with an experienced and collaborative team.
Schedule/Hours:
- Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
- Flexible weekday scheduling
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification (NIH and CPI preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency in IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
- Strong clinical assessment abilities
- Experience with IV and Foley catheter placement
- Previous use of Meditech documentation system is advantageous
- Black or Royal Blue scrubs required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to a diverse patient population on a 5-6:1 (days) and 6:1 (nights) ratio
- Collaborate with on-unit PCTs and unit secretaries for optimal patient support
- Perform IV and Foley catheter procedures adhering to unit standards
- Float as needed within medical-surgical departments (PRN)
- Enhance patient experience through bedside shift reports and hourly rounding
