Key Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Medical-Surgical (MS) unit
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR)
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical floor
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and comply with all safety guidelines
