This role places you on a high-acuity Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit, specializing in cardiac and renal care. You'll be challenged by a diverse patient population, gain exposure to trauma level II practices, and work alongside a team renowned for its collaborative spirit and low turnover. Schedule/Hours
- Guaranteed 36 hours/week (option for 48 upon request)
- 12-hour days (6:30am 7pm)
- Three weekends within every six-week schedule
- Every other holiday
- Floating required within skillset, with advance notice for cross-campus float (local campuses within 811 miles)
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Active compact RN license
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must provide upon application)
- Minimum 2 years recent cardiac/telemetry experience
- At least 1 prior travel assignment and trauma Level II experience
- Proficiency with EPIC (EPIC checkoff required)
- Expertise in Telemetry/12-lead EKG, drip initiation/titration (antiarrhythmics, heparin), PIV insertion, drain management, and nephrostomy tubes
- Demonstrated strong assessment, critical thinking, and resilience
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced care to high-acuity cardiac and renal patients
- Effectively interpret telemetry/EKG results and manage complex drips
- Lead and participate in a culture of teaching and teamwork, precepting students or new hires as needed
- Adapt to dynamic, team-based environments and potential campus floats
