This opportunity is designed for Registered Nurses eager to grow professionally by joining a top-tier Ortho Neuro Trauma Care Center. Youll gain exposure to advanced clinical practices in a teaching hospital and collaborate with seasoned staffmaking it a dynamic setting for learning new leadership approaches and expanding your resume with unique, high-acuity patient experiences.

Schedule & Assignment Details:

  • 13-week travel assignment
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week (option for 48 upon request)
  • 12-hour night shifts (6:30 pm 7:00 am)
  • Bi-weekly orientation, flexible start time
  • Float requirement: May float within primary campus or to nearby facilities (always with advance notice)
  • Weekend/holiday rotation: Three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday

Qualifications:

  • Active compact RN license (must provide upon submission)
  • AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience, with at least 1 year in ortho/neuro/trauma and 1 prior travel assignment
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • Recent proficiency with EPIC documentation system
  • Advanced neuro assessment, tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, and stepdown unit background
  • Social, adaptable, resilient, and strong commitment to teamwork

Preferred Experience:

  • Chest tube and wound management, advanced medication drips, epidural/PEG/NG tube care, Bucks traction, and wound vacs

Responsibilities:

  • Holistic patient assessment and management for trauma, ortho, and neuro cases
  • Patient education and support during recovery
  • Prompt adaptation to floating assignments, always within skill set
  • May precept students or new hires due to teaching hospital environment
