Schedule/Hours

  • 12-hour night shifts (6:30 pm7:00 am)
  • 36 hours guaranteed per week (option for 48)
  • Three weekends out of every six-week schedule
  • Holiday rotation (every other holiday)
  • Start date: 5/18; Bi-weekly orientation

Position Highlights

  • Work within a 41-bed, high-acuity cardiac/renal Med-Surg/Tele unit
  • Floating required within skillset to nearby campuses (travel assistance provided, 2-hour notice for cross-campus float)
  • Exposure to varied leadership styles in a teaching hospital setting
  • Opportunity to precept students or new hires

Required Qualifications

  • Active Compact RN license
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS (certs must be active and attached at submission)
  • Minimum 2 years strong Cardiac/Tele experience
  • At least 1 previous travel assignment
  • Trauma level II experience
  • Recent charting experience with EPIC (checkoff required)
  • Proficiency in Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, IV insertion, drip titration, and management of cardiac/nephrology interventions
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and adaptability

Key Responsibilities

  • Care for high acuity cardiac/heavy telemetry patients (e.g., Afib, CHF, COPD, post-ablation, dialysis)
  • Initiate and titrate cardiac and nephrology drips
  • Manage chest tubes, drains, nephrostomy setups, and perform complex assessments
