Schedule / Hours
- Night shifts: 12 hours (6:30 PM 7:00 AM)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48 upon request)
- Rotating three weekends per six-week schedule, every other holiday
- 13-week assignment starting 4/20 or 5/4, orientation bi-weekly
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a high-acuity, cardiac-focused med-surg/telemetry population
- Interpret 12-lead EKGs and pass required telemetry assessments
- Initiate and titrate antiarrhythmic, heparin, amino, and other drips
- Insert PIVs, manage chest tubes/drains, and handle nephrostomy tubes
- Employ strong assessment skills and adapt to unit changes as needed
- Flexibility to float to nearby campuses within the network, with advance notice
Qualifications
- Active RN compact license (required at submission)
- Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years recent cardiac/telemetry experience
- At least 1 prior travel assignment
- Must have Level II trauma and recent EPIC EMR experience (will complete competency check-off)
- Strong communication, adaptability, and critical thinking skills
