Schedule / Hours

  • Night shifts: 12 hours (6:30 PM 7:00 AM)
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48 upon request)
  • Rotating three weekends per six-week schedule, every other holiday
  • 13-week assignment starting 4/20 or 5/4, orientation bi-weekly

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a high-acuity, cardiac-focused med-surg/telemetry population
  • Interpret 12-lead EKGs and pass required telemetry assessments
  • Initiate and titrate antiarrhythmic, heparin, amino, and other drips
  • Insert PIVs, manage chest tubes/drains, and handle nephrostomy tubes
  • Employ strong assessment skills and adapt to unit changes as needed
  • Flexibility to float to nearby campuses within the network, with advance notice

Qualifications

  • Active RN compact license (required at submission)
  • Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years recent cardiac/telemetry experience
  • At least 1 prior travel assignment
  • Must have Level II trauma and recent EPIC EMR experience (will complete competency check-off)
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and critical thinking skills
