Deliver comprehensive care on a 25-bed med-surg unit, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment including Sara Steady for patient mobility, Wound Vac systems, virtual sitter technology, and remote telemetry. The unit is supported by dedicated patient care technicians and secretaries to streamline workflow and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Schedule:
- Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required
- Flexible weekday assignments
- Occasional floating within med-surg units as needed
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Proven med-surg clinical skills, including strong patient assessment abilities
- Proficient in operating IV pumps and using Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
- Experience with IV and Foley catheter placement preferred
- Current BLS certification; NIH and CPI certifications highly desired
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation systems
- Professional, positive attitude and dedication to patient-centered care
- Adherence to required dress code: black or royal blue scrubs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, performing assessments, administering medications, and executing treatment plans
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, maintaining excellent communication
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in Meditech
- Participate in hourly rounding and support positive patient experience initiatives
- Safely manage equipment such as tele-health, telemetry, and wound care devices
