Job Description

Deliver expert care as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing within a dynamic travel role. This position is based in Monroe, NC, at a 32-bed unit known for managing a diverse patient population with conditions such as stroke, seizures, altered mental status, AKI/CKD, non-healing wounds, and falls. The role offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a supportive environment equipped with advanced technology including EPIC EMR, Phillips monitors, and Alariso IV pumps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients with acute medical and telemetry needs, including interpreting cardiac rhythms and administering non-titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, pharmacists, case managers, and respiratory therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Utilize clinical skills in an environment requiring patient ratio managementtypically 1:5 to 1:6 for RNs, with surges potentially increasing ratios.
  • Maintain compliance with facility protocols and standards, including those related to BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  • Participate in floating assignments within the regional network as needed, with travel time compensated.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with at least 18 months of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and non-titrating cardiac drip administration.
  • Willingness to float across multiple facilities within the region and flexibility to travel as required.
  • First-time travelers welcome.
