Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating weekend schedule
- Set scheduling patterns with the option to pick up open shifts
- Expect occasional floating to the Emergency Department for admission holds
- Call: Up to 4 shift call-offs, voluntary participation
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active RN license with experience in Medical-Surgical settings
- Adaptability to float between MS, Tele, and Swing Bed units
- Competence with Pyxis medication systems and Cerner documentation
- Proficiency in bedside shift reports and strong communication with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to handle a 5:1 patient load on MS/Swing; 4:1 ratio on Telemetry beds
- Familiarity with voluntary call-offs and flexibility for dynamic patient needs
- Commitment to high-quality patient-centered care
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across a 21-bed unit, including MS, Swing, and Tele beds
- Occasionally float to the ED to support admission holds
- Collaborate effectively with remote Intensivist and Hospitalist support, and utilize available onsite and remote resources
- Safely manage medication administration, documentation, and bedside handoff procedures
- Maintain clear and professional communication using tools like iPause and AIDET
