This travel med/surg role is designed for registered nurses who aspire to broaden their expertise. Gain hands-on exposure to advanced telemetry protocols and the latest EHR systems, while expanding your clinical footprint at an established facility. Take in everything Milwaukee has to offer during your off hoursfrom picturesque lakeshore walks and acclaimed museums to lively entertainment districts.
Schedule/Hours:
- Every other weekend (EOW)
- Every other holiday (EOH)
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Active RN license with at least 2 years of recent med/surg nursing experience
- Demonstrated background in telemetry (must be able to read tele strips)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Prior travel nursing assignments preferred
- Previous experience with EPIC electronic medical records
- Compliance with grooming standards: short, natural nails (no artificial/acrylic nails)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult med/surg and telemetry patients
- Assess, monitor, and document patient condition using advanced clinical judgment and EPIC EHR
- Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Respond to critical situations while adhering to evidence-based protocols
- Participate in ongoing unit-based education and professional development
