Schedule/Hours:

• Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of recent med/surg experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in telemetry, including reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Prior experience with the EPIC electronic health record system
• Adherence to infection control standards (no artificial/acrylic nails; nails must be short)
• Strong communication and critical-thinking abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for med/surg patients, with particular attention to continuous telemetry monitoring
• Accurately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive treatment and positive patient outcomes
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EPIC system
• Respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patient condition, utilizing clinical expertise and sound judgment
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and expected outcomes
• Uphold hospital-wide standards for safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality
