Working with a diverse patient populationincluding cases such as stroke, COPD, chest pain, and GI bleedsyoull collaborate with supportive multidisciplinary teams and adapt to various workplace practices. Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts available: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- Holiday commitment: 75% of holidays
- Flexible scheduling with approved time off up to 6 days (excluding holidays)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive patient care for MedSurg/Tele populations (average RN ratio 1:5-6; may vary)
- Perform specialized skills such as stroke assessments, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube/trach care, NG/PEG tube management, and medication drip titration (including cardiac, heparin, blood products)
- Collaborate with supportive CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, respiratory therapists, and unit clerical staff
- Navigate new technology, including Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Philips monitors
- Adapt to regional staffing needs and float within your scope as required (travel time between sites paid)
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- At least 18 months MedSurg/Tele experience (stroke expertise a plus)
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Flexibility for floating and rotating weekends/holidays
