Job Description

An opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical and Telemetry expertise is available on a contract basis in Medina, OH. This position offers a dynamic work schedule on a rotating 12-hour shift that includes day and night hours, providing an excellent chance to apply critical nursing skills in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit, effectively managing a diverse patient population requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Compliance with hospital policies, completion of required assessments, and maintaining certifications are essential components of the role.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 18 months of permanent RN experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing prior to travel assignments
  • At least 18 months of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience; travel experience is acceptable
  • Current Ohio nursing license or compact state license
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
  • Proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and medication administration safety
  • Flexibility to work at least every other holiday
  • Ability to complete orientation assessments with acceptable scores

Work Schedule:

  • Rotating 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
  • Shift schedule may vary to meet operational needs
