This opportunity exposes you to a robust medical-surgical/telemetry environment, fostering your professional development by working alongside a diverse group of healthcare leaders. Rotating through multiple units and even other nearby facilities expands your clinical perspective and deepens your expertise. Youll build your resume with a variety of patient types and diagnoses, all within a dynamic and supportive workplace.
Schedule/Hours:
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No call requirement
- Expectation to work 75% of holidays
- Schedule built on a 6-week cycle
- Up to 6 days of requested time off approved (excluding holidays)
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license with at least 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- General Med/Tele skillset: Stroke care, cardiac monitoring, advanced line/drain management, PCA pump, and critical medication administration
- Comfort with Epic, Alaris, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors
- Ability to float between facilities within the assigned region as patient care needs demand
- Adaptability and a collaborative approach in a resource team-driven setting
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care for a range of conditions including CHF, stroke symptoms, respiratory and cardiac issues
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff including CNAs, hospitalists, intensivists, and specialists
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage IVs/tubes/drains, administer blood products, and document using Epic EMR
- Maintain patient ratios as defined, flexing when necessary during surges
