This MedSurg/Telemetry travel nursing assignment offers a unique chance to expand your capabilities alongside diverse healthcare teams. Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible travel assignment
- Shifts with department-based scheduling
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- 18+ months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (first-time travelers welcome)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills; experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone)
- General medical/surgical skillset
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for a variety of diagnoses, including stroke, seizures, AMS, renal conditions, wounds, and falls
- Manage patient ratios typically 1:5-6 (may increase based on unit needs)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, receptionists, charge nurses, case managers, respiratory therapists, and APPs
- Document in EPIC EMR, and utilize advanced monitoring and medication dispensing systems
- Float between regional facilities within your scope, paid for travel between sites if mid-shift
