Job Description

Exceptional opportunity for an experienced Med/Tele RN to provide high-quality cardiac and medical-surgical nursing care in a well-respected community teaching hospital setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac-related diagnoses including chest pain, MI, N-STEMI, and arrhythmias
  • Monitor telemetry and manage cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin infusions
  • Perform IV starts, wound care, NGT placement, and central line management
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapy, and ancillary support services
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR and manage medical equipment including Alaris IV pumps and Phillips monitors
  • Support patient safety and comfort while promoting a collegial and hostile-free unit culture

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active RN licensure with at least 2 years of Med/Telemetry experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required
  • Expertise in telemetry reading, cardiac monitoring, and general Med-Surg nursing skills
  • Comfortable managing non-titrating cardiac infusions and blood products
  • Ability to float within the designated region as needed, with travel time compensated

  • 44-bed unit with a consistent census of 44 patients on average
  • Patient ratios: RN 1:4-5, LPN 1:4-5, CNA 1:8-9
  • Orientation includes 2 days of departmental training plus new employee onboarding
  • Support from resource nurse team leads and clinical supervisors
  • Free parking available behind the hospital
  • Scrub color: Navy
