Job Description

Providing care in a Level III Trauma Center, this registered nurse position in Marinette, WI offers the opportunity to work within a dedicated medical-surgical unit. The role is ideal for nurses with a minimum of two years of experience who are comfortable managing patients on telemetry and adapting to a dynamic hospital environment with supportive staffing in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients, maintaining telemetry monitoring competency.
  • Collaborate closely with charge nurses, LPNs, receptionists, and technical staff to ensure seamless unit operations.
  • Utilize hospital charting systems, including EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis, to document patient care accurately.
  • Maintain safety and infection control protocols with adequate PPE supplies.
  • Participate in orientation by completing at least one shift dedicated to learning unit workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure.
  • Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
  • Proficiency in telemetry patient care.
  • Ability to work with a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 at night.
  • Familiarity with hospital electronic systems such as EPIC preferred.
