Join a Level III Trauma Center known for delivering exceptional healthcare services in Marinette, WI. This contract opportunity is within a well-established medical-surgical unit providing care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients on a telemetry medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor patient conditions with a focus on telemetry competency.
- Collaborate with charge nurses, LPNs, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists.
- Utilize EPIC for charting, along with Alaris and Pyxis systems for medication and infusion management.
- Adhere to all safety standards and protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in orientation, including at least one shift to learn unit operations and workflow.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse (RN) with telemetry competency.
- Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIH Stroke Scale.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records and related nursing technologies.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with patient ratios of approximately 1:4-5 during day shifts and 1:5-6 at night.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating shifts including days and nights as per unit staffing needs.
