Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) serving medium to high acuity patients in Magalia, CA. This contract RN role focuses on delivering comprehensive medical, pre-operative, and post-operative care to patients with complex cardiac and related conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-level nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac surgeries and managing cardiac diagnoses such as Acute Myocardial Infarction, CHF, arrhythmias, and post pacemaker insertion.
- Monitor and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, maintaining a safe patient-to-nurse ratio of no more than 4:1.
- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for accurate documentation and coordination of care.
- Float to Med/Surg and other units as needed, ensuring flexibility in meeting patient care demands.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current California RN license.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Critical Care nursing.
- Proficient with EPIC charting system.
