Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established protocols on a Med-Surg unit
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document observations
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
• Educate patients and families on care plans, post-discharge needs, and healthy lifestyle choices
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Respond to changes in patient condition rapidly and appropriately
• Adhere strictly to infection control and hospital safety guidelines

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing required
• Proficient clinical judgment and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• BLS certification (and other certifications as required by unit or state regulations)
