Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established protocols on a Med-Surg unit
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document observations
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
- Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
- Educate patients and families on care plans, post-discharge needs, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Respond to changes in patient condition rapidly and appropriately
- Adhere strictly to infection control and hospital safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license
- Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing required
- Proficient clinical judgment and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- BLS certification (and other certifications as required by unit or state regulations)
