This travel nursing role places you on a bustling 35-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit, offering exposure to complex trauma, orthopedic, and medical-surgical cases. Collaborate across specialties, deepen your knowledge, and bring home invaluable insights from a diverse team dedicated to delivering exceptional care.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts per 6-week period
• No on-call requirement
• Holiday rotation required

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Must pass an EKG competency exam (BCR); ACLS preferred
• Medical-surgical or nephrology certification a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, wound care, cardiac monitoring, and IV skills
• Trach care, chest tube management, insulin/heparin drips, and patient education experience

Responsibilities:

• Deliver care to a variety of patient types: trauma, ortho, post-op, chronic illness
• Manage patient assessments, telemetry interpretation, wound and post-op care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care coordination and discharge planning
• Provide education on renal and fluid management to patients/families
• Float as needed among all adult med/surg and telemetry units
