Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
- Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 (per 6-week schedule)
- No on-call
- Holiday rotation required (1 shift per major holiday)
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience
- BLS required; ACLS & national certifications (MedSurg/Nephrology) preferred
- Must pass an EKG competency exam (BCR required)
- Strong clinical assessment, wound care, and telemetry skills
- Experience with trach care, chest tubes, IV/PIV/central line management
Responsibilities:
- Manage post-op, trauma, and complex medical patients
- Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- Medication titration (insulin, heparin drips)
- Discharge planning and patient education (focus on renal/fluid management)
- Coordinate care with physicians, CNAs, and resource teams
- Float as needed to other MedSurg/Telemetry units
