Job Description

Experienced registered nurses are invited to contribute their expertise in a dynamic medical-surgical setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals and care for a diverse patient population.

Schedule:

  • Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts RN license required
  • BLS certification through ARC or AHA
  • 3 years of recent experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
  • Prior travel nursing experience essential
  • Proficiency with Telemetry and Meditech systems
  • Ability to pass a telemetry skills assessment during orientation
  • 2024/2025 seasonal flu vaccine required before start

  • Willingness to float to related units as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical-surgical and telemetry care to adult patients
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly report abnormalities
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and document care using Meditech
  • Support patients and families through effective communication and education
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
  • Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and implement interventions
  • Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork, including floating to similar units when necessary
