An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Med-Surg expertise to provide patient care in a healthcare setting focused on medical-surgical and telemetry services. This contract role is ideal for candidates with a strong clinical background and the ability to adapt to various inpatient units.
Location: Lowell, MA
Lowell is a vibrant city rich in history and culture, offering a blend of urban amenities and outdoor recreational activities. It is well-connected by public transportation and provides a diverse community environment.
Schedule:
- Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
Key Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts RN License required
- BLS certification (ARC or AHA) mandatory
- Minimum 3 years of recent medical-surgical with telemetry experience
- Proficient with telemetry monitoring and Meditech electronic health records
- Successful completion of a telemetry competency test on the first day of orientation
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Flexibility to float to similar inpatient units as needed
- 2024/2025 flu vaccine required prior to start
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor patients cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding promptly to changes
- Operate and document patient care using Meditech EHR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
