Job Description

A healthcare opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience in Lorain, OH. This contract role offers exposure to a dynamic hospital environment specializing in Med/Surg Tele nursing with rotating shifts. Engage in patient care within a reputable medical campus, focusing on delivering quality nursing services during day and night rotations.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing prior to travel assignments
  • At least 18 months recent experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing (travel experience acceptable)
  • Preferred: One year recent experience in oncology/chemotherapy administration (training available for qualified candidates)
  • Valid Permanent Ohio nursing license or Compact State license
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (American Red Cross or equivalent)
  • Ability to work every other holiday as part of scheduling
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety (successful completion of assessments during orientation required)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit

  • Comply with hospital policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards
  • Submit hours worked using designated digital platforms during assignments

Schedule:

  • Rotating 12-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
