Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour variable shifts (day/night)
- Every weekend commitment
- 3648 hours guaranteed per week (OT applies after 48 hours)
- 13-week contract; ASAP start
- Holiday rotation
Qualifications/Required Experience:
- Active RN license (Wisconsin or Compact)
- BLS (American Heart Association) required
- 12+ years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Experience with venipuncture and Cardizem administration
- NIHSS certification preferred at submission (obtaining during orientation is acceptable and provided)
- Epic charting proficiency within the last 2 years
- Skilled in time management and able to adapt in fast-paced, changing environments
- Social, resilient, hard-working demeanor
- Compliant with scrub color policies (no bright colors/character prints)
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the primary site
Key Responsibilities:
- Float seamlessly to units based on facility needs: medical, surgical, cardiac, ortho/neuro, observation, rehab, or transitional care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care
- Manage patient assignments per shift ratios (Days: 1:4, PM: 1:4/5, NOC: 1:67)
- Document and chart in Epic EMR accurately and efficiently
- Demonstrate leadership and provide support in challenging settings
