Job Description

This opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical expertise, providing care on a high-acuity surgery trauma floor. The role involves managing complex patient cases including spinal, neuro trauma, surgical injuries, gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to trauma and surgical patients with diverse, high-acuity needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement and evaluate patient care plans
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for accurate documentation and communication
  • Maintain compliance with BLS certification; ACLS certification is preferred
  • Be available for assigned shifts; no block scheduling is provided

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current RN license verified through Nursys
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing or trauma specialty
  • Proficient in EPIC electronic health records
  • Strong ability to handle high-stress, critical patient situations with professionalism
  • Complete candidate profile including work history/resume (no gaps greater than 60 days), skills checklist, references, certification card, and demographic details including badge-appropriate photo

Additional Information
This is a contract opportunity with no Return to Office (RTO) requirement. The position demands flexible shift availability to support patient care needs in a trauma-focused hospital setting.
