You will work in a dynamic, 26-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit that emphasizes patient-centered care, high reliability, and strong teamwork. Your time here will be marked by exposure to diverse workplace practices, collaborative interdisciplinary leadership, and the chance to deepen your expertise in treating a broad spectrum of patient diagnosesfrom general medicine and observation cases to memory care and behavioral health. Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible travel assignment
  • Orientation: Two days departmental, New Employee Orientation included

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg experience (first-time travelers welcome)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required (CPI for BH unit, obtainable on site)
  • Proficient with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, trachs, PIV initiation, drain/tube care, PCA pumps, and GTT management (including Amiodarone, Ketamine, Dilaudid, Heparin)
  • Ability to support both general medicine and behavioral health units as needed
  • Team-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal and written skills, resiliency under moderate-to-high stress

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care across varied medical and behavioral diagnoses
  • Ensure thorough monitoring and documentation of patient response to treatment
  • Collaborate seamlessly with CNAs, hospitalists, intensivists, and rapid response teams
  • Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing
  • Float to other MedSurg units as necessary
