Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care for general medicine patients with conditions such as diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory challenges, renal concerns, wounds, chest tubes, and tracheostomies.
• Perform critical clinical tasks including lab draws, PIV starts, management of chest tubes and drains, and operation of PCA pumps.
• Interpret telemetry strips and manage medication drips such as Amiodarone, Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, and Heparin.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including CNAs, phlebotomists, charge nurses, rapid response teams, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists to provide comprehensive care.
• Utilize EMR systems (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing technology to support patient care activities.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry nursing experience.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (Resource Team requirement).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively and thrive in moderate to high-stress environments.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpreting strips.
• Skills in managing chest tubes, tracheostomies, PCA pumps, and medication drips are a must.
