A nursing professional with acute care experience is sought for a 13-week contract position in Lawrence, KS. This role involves providing skilled care on medical-surgical and step-down units, supporting patient recovery and monitoring in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care on medical-surgical and step-down units
- Monitor patient condition and report changes to the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to plan and evaluate care
- Ensure documentation is accurate and timely
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Medical-Surgical RN in acute care settings
- Previous experience in step-down or telemetry units preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Flexibility to float between medical floors and step-down units
Schedule & Hours:
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour daytime shifts
- Weekend and holiday coverage as assigned
