A rewarding opportunity is available for a MedSurg RN with a focus on Renal care to provide exceptional nursing support in a 3x12-hour day shift schedule (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) at a respected healthcare facility located in Lake City, SC. This contract position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic MedSurg environment, with nursing ratios of 1:6-7, supporting patient care across renal and general medical-surgical units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to MedSurg renal patients, adhering to established protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Float within scope to other MedSurg units as needed to meet fluctuating facility demands.
- Participate in weekend rotations every other weekend and holiday schedules.
- Utilize Epic charting system for accurate documentation.
- Maintain readiness to support emergency response teams during hurricane season.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current SC nursing license or Compact license active prior to assignment start.
- Minimum of 1 year RN MedSurg experience preferred; first-time travelers are welcome.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to work a 3x12 schedule with weekend and holiday rotations.
- Flexibility to float between sister units/facilities when necessary.
Additional Details:
- Free onsite parking available.
- Royal blue scrubs are the designated uniform color.
- Facility provides guaranteed hours but may call off one shift every two weeks.
- Travel contracts must consider hurricane season (JuneNovember), including peak months August and September, during which emergency response participation may be required.
