As a MedSurg/Tele RN, youll enhance your nursing expertise by caring for cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and observation patients in a fast-paced environment with a daily census of 24. This role offers exposure to diverse care protocols and cross-functional teams, expanding your knowledge as you collaborate with experienced professionals and develop adaptable leadership and clinical skills. Rotating among several leading facilities in the region ensures professional growth while broadening your resume and deepening your adaptability.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts: 6:45am7:15pm or 6:45pm7:15am
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- Holiday requirement: 75% of holidays
- Opportunity to request up to 6 days off, excluding holidays
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Tele RN experience
- First-time travelers welcome
- Active RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating drips, IV skills, wound care, and patient monitoring
- At least 6 months experience with EPIC EMR
- Willingness to float within the region as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to a varied MedSurg/Telemetry patient population
- Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and ancillary staff
- Support patient admission, treatment, and discharge processes
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation (EPIC)
- Float to partner facilities as required, with paid travel time for mid-shift transitions
