As a valued RN in this 24-bed med/surg-telemetry unit, you'll manage a wide variety of diagnoses ranging from cardiac and respiratory to neurological, providing critical care to adult patients. This assignment will strengthen your resume as you encounter varied hospital workflows, technological systems including EPIC (6+ months experience required), and different leadership styles. Schedule:
- Shift options: 0645-1915 or 1845-0715
- Schedule confirmed every 6 weeks
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- Holiday requirement: 75% of holidays
- Up to 6 approved days off (excluding holidays; contract extension required for additional time off)
- Possibility of low census call (with specific call-back windows)

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 months Med/Surg-Telemetry RN experience
- Active RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proven cardiac rhythm interpretation and non-titrating drip experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR (minimum 6 months, specify in application)
- Skilled in wound care, IV starts, blood product administration, and managing tubes/drains
- Willingness to float among nearby facilities as needed
- Open to first-time travelers with the required skillset
Responsibilities:
- Manage a ratio of 1:5-6 patients (surge up to 1:7-8)
- Deliver comprehensive care to adults with varied medical needs
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including CNAs, RT, VAT, hospitalists, and intensivists
- Utilize advanced monitoring and medication systems: Massimo, Omnicell, Alaris pumps
