Job Description

A nursing opportunity is available for experienced registered nurses with a current Wisconsin license and CPR/BLS certification. This contract role is based in Kenosha, WI, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The position requires availability for every other weekend and holiday, working 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply the nursing process in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols, policies, and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation meeting standards of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including educating patients and their families.
  • Engage in department performance improvement efforts and shared governance activities.
  • Provide clinical guidance across units to support comprehensive patient care.
  • Exercise critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Wisconsin.
  • Valid CPR/BLS certification.
  • Influenza vaccination required.
  • Ability to adapt to floating between units as needed.
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.
