A nursing opportunity is available for experienced registered nurses with a current Wisconsin license and CPR/BLS certification. This contract role is based in Kenosha, WI, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The position requires availability for every other weekend and holiday, working 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols, policies, and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation meeting standards of care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including educating patients and their families.
- Engage in department performance improvement efforts and shared governance activities.
- Provide clinical guidance across units to support comprehensive patient care.
- Exercise critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Wisconsin.
- Valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Influenza vaccination required.
- Ability to adapt to floating between units as needed.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.
