Working in a 21-bed facility with Medical-Surgical and Swing beds, youll encounter patients with a diverse range of needs. Telemetry and swing bed care provide invaluable exposure to different patient populations and collaborative interdisciplinary practices. Staffing ratios ensure manageable workloads (Tele: 4:1; MS/Swing: 5:1), supporting your professional development by offering hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
Expand your resume with the latest systems including Pyxis for medication administration and Cerner for EMR documentation. Youll also enhance your teamwork and communication skills using bedside shift reporting (AIDET) and iPause systems. With no lift team, youll develop skills in safe patient handling, further strengthening your clinical competencies.
Schedule/Hours
- Rotating weekends with set scheduling patterns
- Ability to pick up extra shifts for flexibility
Key Qualifications
- Active RN license with experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
- Proficiency in telemetry is highly valued
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR, Pyxis medication system, or willingness to learn
- Strong collaborative and adaptability skills; capacity to float to ED if needed
- Ability to manage patient care independently in a resource-limited environment
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care across MS, Swing, and Telemetry units
- Collaborate with on-site and remote healthcare teams for comprehensive care
- Administer medications, manage admissions/discharges, and complete thorough documentation
- Adapt to occasional floating and rotational schedules
