This travel nursing role focuses on the Medical/Surgical 6th Floor, providing 12-hour day shifts every weekend. You'll find exceptional opportunities for professional growth, as you'll interact with a broad spectrum of patient casesparticularly in trauma surgical, neuro, and ortho scenarios. Exposure to multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius ensures an immersion in different workplace styles and leadership approaches, making this an invaluable addition to your resume.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts (5:30 am start) every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Holiday rotation as required
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (except during closed-unit holidays)
Key Qualifications:
- Valid WI RN License; AHA BLS & NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 3+ years of RN experience
- 2+ years in Med/Surg and at least one completed travel assignment
- Experience with EPIC charting within the last 2 years
- Demonstrated expertise in neuro, ortho, and trauma care (including post-op surgeries)
- Ability to float within skillset as needed to nearby facilities
- Strong work ethic, adaptability, and excellent team collaboration
- Scrub color: Black
Responsibilities:
- Manage patient ratios of 1:5 (days)
- Deliver high-quality care in trauma, post-op neuro, and ortho trauma settings
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care and adapt to varying environments
- Ensure safe practices, particularly with complex procedures (chest tubes, PCAs, CBI, etc.)
