This travel nursing assignment places you on a dynamic Medical/Surgical 6th Floor unit, providing exposure to a variety of cases including trauma surgical, neuro, and ortho patients. By collaborating with healthcare teams in this region, you'll broaden your professional horizons and enhance your clinical skills, all while learning from diverse workplace practices and leadership styles. The hospital's commitment to professional growth and top-tier patient care ensures you can expand your resume with enriching experiences.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts, 5:30 pm start (NOC)
  • Every other weekend required
  • 8-week contract, beginning June 8, 2026
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Holiday rotation
  • Floating within skill set, up to 60 miles
  • No on-call requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional care to Med/Surg patients, focusing on neuro/ortho trauma and post-op cases
  • Manage patient ratios of 1:5-1:6 (nights)
  • Provide specialized care: post-op neuro and ortho trauma surgeries, chest tubes, PCA/epidural/Q-ball, CBI
  • Chart accurately using EPIC (recent experience required)
  • Adapt to fast-paced, changing priorities; maintain resilience and a collaborative spirit

Qualifications:

  • Active WI RN license, AHA BLS & NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of RN experience, 2+ years Med/Surg, 1 prior travel assignment
  • Proven neuro/ortho trauma experience (hard stop requirement)
  • Experience with EPIC charting in the last 2 years
  • Strong work ethic, adaptability, effective communication skills
  • Social, team-oriented mindset
  • Must wear black scrubs
  • No prior work within 50 miles of the campus
