Deliver expert patient care as a Registered Nurse with Med-Surg experience in a 13-week contract position based in the Kansas City metro area. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with acute care skills who thrive in fast-paced environments managing patients on medical-surgical and step-down units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on medical-surgical and step-down units.
- Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively following established protocols.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge needs.
- Respond to changes in patient status with timely interventions, including during weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of nursing care.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year recent acute care nursing experience with a focus on medical-surgical and step-down unit patients.
- Comfort working extended 12-hour day shifts within a 36-hour workweek.
- Prior experience in medical-surgical and step-down nursing preferred.
- Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
