An opportunity for a Registered Nurse specializing in Gastroenterology (GI) is available in Irving, TX. This contract position emphasizes delivering high-quality patient care in a busy environment with a team-focused approach. The role offers a dynamic schedule that includes weekday and weekend on-call shifts, allowing for a varied and engaging work week.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic and bronchoscopy procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, PEG, BRONCH, and EBUS
- Maintain patient safety with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in 2 Endoscopy rooms
- Collaborate effectively with a team including charge nurses, RNs, and tech staff
- Adhere to hospital policies and utilize Meditech EMR systems proficiently
- Participate in on-call rotations including weekday evenings and 24-hour weekend coverage
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with at least one year of experience in Gastroenterology nursing
- BLS certification required
- Strong skills in GI procedures and patient care management
- Demonstrated leadership, accountability, flexibility, and positive attitude
Work Schedule:
- Rotating weekday on-call shifts starting at 3:15 PM until 7:00 AM
- 24-hour weekend call approximately 15 days per contract duration
