Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating weekends: Every other weekend
• No on-call requirement
• Holiday expectation: Work 75% of holidays
• Up to 6 days off approved (excluding holidays; time off added to contract if unable to meet contracted hours)
• Schedule cycle is every 6 weeks

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license
• At least 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (resource team requirement)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR, cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, PIV starts, trach care, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, and PCA pumps
• Experience managing cardiac drips, blood products, heparin, and IVF medication gtts
• Familiarity with patient populations such as CHF, COPD, chest pain, stroke symptoms, and other med/tele diagnoses
• Willingness and ability to float within your region as needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered care in MedSurg and Telemetry units, including overflow/ED holding
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6 (occasionally higher during critical surges)
• Collaborate closely with CNAs, HUCs, charge nurses, and auxiliary support staff
• Utilize advanced healthcare technology, including Alaris pumps, Omnicell dispensers, and Phillips monitors
• Participate in department and facility orientations (NEO and 2 days of department-specific training)
