Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS required for both units
- CPI required for Behavioral Health unit but can be obtained on site
- Comfortable working across both general medicine and behavioral health units
- Direct patient care expertise, strong communication skills, and teamwork focus
- Solid experience reading telemetry strips and with specialized interventions (chest tubes, traches, PIV starts, PCA management)
- Openness to first-time travelers
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized nursing care on a 26-bed adult MedSurg/Telemetry unit, floating as needed
- Monitor and manage complex medical and behavioral health cases, including telemetry and medication titrations
- Collaborate with supportive multidisciplinary teams including 24/7 RT, Hospitalists, Intensivists, and rapid response teams
- Contribute to a patient-centered, reliable, and highly collaborative unit culture
